Royal Oaks, 10015 W. Royal Oak Road, Sun City, a Life Plan Community, broke ground to provide seniors who live at Royal Oaks and surrounding areas with onsite health solutions.

The groundbreaking ceremony was April 26 with Royal Oaks and construction officials participating. The groundbreaking was not a public event.

The Vida Center will be a state-ofthe-art center for medical and health-related services. Royal Oaks residents will be able to see providers in virtually all areas of medicine and health without having to leave campus, offering an enhanced onsite continuity of care. Vida Center is a partnership with Summit Healthcare Services and will offer primary and specialty medical care, and also a wide array of therapies.

“This was another exciting day for Royal Oaks. The Vida Center is just one phase of the planning which began in December of 2014, and also included the expansion neighborhood, Inspirata Pointe,” said Dick Jorgenson, Royal Oaks Board of Trustees chairman. “The Master Planning Committee and management worked diligently to put all the pieces together and today we celebrate the official beginning of the long-awaited construction of The Vida Center. We will all now have the chance to view the construction and soon residents will be able to utilize more health services that are offered on campus.”

Summit Healthcare Services is a leading provider of individualized senior transitional care for physical, social, intellectual, spiritual and emotional wellness.
