Bellevue Heights Church, 9440 W. Hutton Drive, will offer GriefShare for residents in a 13-class series 1-3 p.m. starting Monday, Aug. 19, and running through Monday, Nov. 11.
This support group is designed for anyone grieving the loss of a family member. Total cost is $20 and includes a workbook.
A special seminar on “Surviving the Holidays” will be offered 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, for $7.
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Attendees will discover what to expect in the days ahead, learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way. Each weekly GriefShare group begins with a 30-minute video on grief-related topics and helpful stories from people who have experienced loss. After the video, group members discuss the video and share their individual struggles with loss.
