Grief support group offered at First Baptist

Dr. Ron Hornecker, minister of counseling at First Baptist Church, 17419 N. Conquistador Drive, will lead a grief support group to help grieving individuals find hope and healing.

The group will meet 1 to 2:30 p.m. every Thursday, from Oct. 5 through Nov. 9.

Sessions will include individual sharing and a focus on the nature of grief and its effects.

Faith, and its place in one’s loss, will also be covered, as well as how it can be a source of both comfort and struggle. Final sessions will highlight practical steps to use for recovery.

Dr. Hornecker has led grief support groups for many years in several states. He is a Certified Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.

No pre-registration is needed; join the group in room 105.
