Ghostlight Theatre alters season lineup due to COVID-19

‘Art’ postponed, ‘Moby Dick’ canceled

Posted

Ghostlight Theatre, at 13541 W. Camino del Sol, Sun City West, has altered the remainder of its 2019-20 season in response to precautions over the spread of COVID-19.

Following CDC guidelines as it relates to keeping audiences, actors and staff safe and healthy, the theater has postponed its upcoming show, “Art,” from its originally scheduled April opening to a run that tentatively will go from May 14 to 24.

“Art,” originally a French-language comedy that premiered in 1994 and debuted on Broadway in 1998, tells a story about art and friendship between three long-time friends, when one, indulging in his penchant for modern art, buys a large, expensive, completely white painting.

Tickets are available at https://ghostlightaz.tix.com/schedule.aspx?orgnum=5469.

The theater, however, will be unable to stage “Moby Dick: The Musical,” which was to close Ghostlight’s 10th anniversary 2019-20 season.
