Native art flows through the generations in Charles “Chuck” Berry’s family, rooted in the teachings of his grandmother, a member of the Cherokee Nation. Her wisdom, culture and reverence for nature influenced Berry’s artistic vision.
Berry believes the Creator is alive in everything, from the whisper of the wind to the quiet strength of the mountains.
“By taking just what you need, there will be abundance forever,” he said.
Berry sees everyone as endowed protectors of this paradise called home. Through his paintings, he invites viewers into vivid, immersive landscapes that stir the spirit and awaken a connection to the Earth.
“I try to draw the viewer right inside the painting,” he explains, “and make them feel as though they are there.”
