Free scams workshop at Benevilla

Residents can take in a scams workshop at Benevilla aimed to empower community members with the knowledge to recognize and avoid scams.
The event is 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Benevilla, 16752 N. Greasewood St.
Branch Manager Mia Brooks, at WaFd Bank, will share insights and practical tips on identifying different types of scams and protection from fraud. The workshop will highlight the latest scams, effective strategies to avoid falling victim to fraud and will give residents a chance to ask questions.
