New tax laws explained

Savings and retirement are two important topics in Sun City West.

Destination Wealth Advisor Group will host a free breakfast workshop 9-10:30 a.m, Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Briarwood Country Club, 20800 N. 135th Ave.

Residents are encouraged to register if interested in learning more about the next tax laws. Things such as how capital gains rates affect persona income, as well as how to avoid capital gains tax on appreciated property and also what are the new required minimum distribution rules, to name few.

Real-life examples will be used to show how taxes can be lower on Social Security and investment income.

“We believe it is important to educate residents here on very important issues that affect savings and retirement plans. Most significant is tax law, which is always under scrutiny by the government,” David Hickson, with Destination Wealth Advisor Group, said.

Strategies will be presented on how to make the most out of current and pending tax law and legislative changes. Registration is required, call 623-975-2881.
