Forrest: Restrictions were draw for Sun City

Posted

We purchased property in Sun City for the relaxing atmosphere, no out of control parties, no noise produced by people who have no respect for others and no cars racing down the streets at all hours, plus property management companies that work with the HOAs to maintain the communities.

If people want short term rentals (“Short term rentals on hot seat,” Sun City Independent, March 10, 2021), go to Phoenix or other places in the county, but leave the Sun City communities alone. Property owners who feel that they want to destroy the atmosphere that has been prevalent over the years should sell and move elsewhere.

I believe there was a lawsuit several years ago where the couple wanted to have their son move in with them; he was under 19 years old. The suit was decided in favor of the Sun City community.

All the Sun City communities should retain the requirement that one of the owners be 55 or older.
