A grief support group led by Dr. Ron Hornecker will meet weekly at First Baptist Church, 17419 N. Conquistador Drive, room 112, beginning Thursday, May 6 and ending June 10. Sessions will last from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and will include individual sharing as well as a focus on the nature of grief, how it progresses and how it affects everyone.

The place of faith in one’s loss will also be covered, and how it can be a source of both comfort and struggle. Final sessions will highlight practical steps one can take toward hope, healing and recovery.

Dr. Hornecker has led grief support and caregiver groups for many years in several states. He is the Minister of Counseling at First Baptist, and is a Certified Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.

No pre-registration is necessary for the sessions.
