It is true, no matter what one’s interest, in Sun City West there is a club or class for it! Hundreds — from art to zymurgy. Growing up in a tiny Wyoming town (Greybull), I never had a chance to take tap dancing, but now at age almost-82 I’m enjoying a beginning tap class taught by a lovely “youngster” (age about 40) named Valerie Moore. The class is 9-10 a.m. each Monday and Wednesday at Palm Ridge Recreation Center, 13800 W. Deer Valley Drive.
Valerie has danced jazz, tap and modern from the age of 3, is nice, kind, patient and funny, and has taught dance extensively to students of all ages. Valerie also teaches the intermediate and advanced tap classes at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
So exciting to learn the basic difference between a slap and a flap!
