Donald William Seyba

Donald W. Seyba of Sun City West, Arizona and formerly of Ridgefield, Connecticut, passed away at the age of 92. He was born in Rochester, New York, on August 21, 1930. After serving in the Korean War, Don graduated from Hamilton College in upstate New York. He had a very prestigious job resume. Don worked for Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls, New York, and moved to Connecticut in 1968 after accepting a position with IBM Corporation. He worked for IBM many years and his most pleasurable assignment was living in Tokyo, Japan with his wife, Kathryn. They both enjoyed collecting Japanese furniture, artifacts and traveling. While living in Ridgefield, Don enjoyed running. He was a member of the Ridgefield Wolfpit Running Club. He ran many races, his favorite being the Marine Corps Marathon. Don and Kay moved in 1994 to Sun City West, Arizona, where he became an avid bike rider. He always said, "He's lived 92 good years, has no regrets, and was proud to have served his country in the Army during the Korean War. " Don is survived by four children David, Stephanie, Amy and Gretchen, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by his sister, Jeanne DaBoll of Venice, Florida. A small service was held at the National Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona where he was laid to rest next to his wife.
