I’ve known Dennis Hanzel for more than 10 years and I’ve never known anybody more concerned about Sun City West people and our community. He’s someone who is always there to answer questions and help in any way he can.
He’s been a great friend to me and many other people in this community, especially for giving free legal advice, since he is a licensed attorney in civil, criminal and internal revenue tax law.
Having these credentials also gives him excellent insight into business and economics. Not only is he well-educated, but he also has an agenda of common sense that has been lacking on the RCSCW board in recent years.
If elected, Dennis will be vigilant, especially when it comes to the “good ole boy network” which has permeated our governing board in the past. He will provide transparency like never before so that every member of the community can comprehend what’s going on and how our money is being spent to their best advantage.
In the recent past, money in our emergency fund was lost because of a bad investment switch to a bond fund, which was approved by the governing board without any accountability. Dennis will diligently watch for these mistakes and see that it doesn’t happen again.
In closing, the governing board needs to make decisions that benefit the members of the community and not themselves. Dennis will see that this is done. This is why he is the best person for this position.
