Daughters present JROTC certificate, medal

Twila Lobitz, Regent of the Sun City National Society Daughter of the American Revolution, Agua Fria Chapter, presented Genevieve Teasley with the NSDAR JROTC certificate and bronze medal. Cactus High School JROTC cadet Teasley received the award during their annual JROTC award ceremony event at the high school.
This award can be presented to any high school or junior college junior or senior who is enrolled in JROTC programs of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. To receive the bronze medal, Teasley displayed outstanding ability and achievement by demonstrating loyalty and patriotism and earning a record of military and scholastic achievement during her participation in the JROTC program.
She was in the upper 25% of her ROTC and academic classes. She had shown qualities of dependability and good character, adherence to military discipline, leadership ability and fundamental and patriotic understanding of the importance of JROTC training.
Senior aerospace science instructor Lt. Col. Roel Zamora oversees the Air Force JROTC program at Cactus High School.
