Vietnam War United States Navy veteran Dennis Grau was the guest speaker at the Sun City National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter’s January monthly virtual meeting.

Twenty-one chapter members were in attendance.

Mr. Grau is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10695 in Sun City West and is a 2014 inductee to the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame. He served two tours of duty to Vietnam.

His presentation was about his safety on a support ship off the Vietnamese coast and a full tour of daily combat aboard an LDS supply boat on the rivers. He spoke of his daily loss of friends and how they prayed together before beginning the trip up the river to a Marine base and before returning down the river to home base.

Mr. Grau has also presented programs to most of the elementary schools and high schools in the Dysart Unified School District.
