Dancers prep for variety show

DanceSensations’ members are preparing for the Nov. 17-20 “Holiday Magic” variety show at Stardust Theatre, which includes 2 p.m. matinees on Thursday and Sunday and 7 p.m. shows on Friday and Saturday.
There will be laugh-inducing skits along with colorful costumes, energetic dance and marching routines, amazing soloists, great music and incredible singers. Tickets are available at the R.H. Johnson box office.
The most recent classes added to the club’s roster at the Palm Ridge Dance Room are East Coast Swing 5:45 p.m. Mondays and Basic Ballroom 5:45 p.m. Wednesdays. Although these have just begun, new students may still join. Other classes, offered Monday through Friday, include Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Jazzy Poms marching, Hula, Precision Tap (a form of clogging) and Clogging. Dance related exercise classes are Ballet, Stretch, Pilates and Tai Chi.
