Posted
The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Our Lady of Lourdes Court #2278, hosted a fashion show Oct. 16 at Briarwood Country Club, 20800 N. 135th Ave.
There were more than 200 guests present who enjoyed a full course meal of salad, grilled salmon, chicken piccata, scalloped potatoes, fresh green beans almondine and a pecan carmel sundae. Fashions were by New Image Fashions, by Don Scott, and the clothes could be purchased before and after the lunch.
All models were Catholic Daughters.
Catholic Daughters of the Americas is an International Catholic Women’s Organization. Our Lady of Lourdes Court is the largest Court in Arizona with more than 125 members.
All Catholic women are encouraged to join the group, whose motto is “In Unity and Charity.” Everything they make from events goes to charity.
Meetings are 9 a.m. the third Wednesday of each month at Our Lady of Lourdes Madonna Hall, 19002 N. 128th Ave.
The next event is a “Pasta with the Pastor” 3-6 p.m. Oct. 30. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the church office.
On Dec. 11, there will be a “Cookie Walk” with homemade cookies, pies, breads, cakes at Madonna Hall, from 1 to 3 p.m. The Advent/Christmas party is Dec. 15 at the Briarwood Country Club.
