Professional: Navy wife for 20 years, traveled Asia and Europe, favorites being Japan and Spain.

Husband: Ken, Navy pilot and retired systems engineer from Monrovia, California

Work history: Teacher while in the military, interior designer until currently, and life-long volunteer worker. Owned and operated my own business since the early 90s. Helped restore Ramona Town Hall for 10 years and was curator of Ramona Woodward Museum of History for seven years. Served on Ramona Chamber of Commerce for a decade as secretary and vice president, and a Soroptimist International member.

Arizona: Moved to Arizona three years ago, from Ramona, and San Diego, California, where we lived for over 30 years.

Personal background: Moved to be near my daughter, son-in-law and three granddaughters.

Honors: Ramona Citizen of the Year 2003 and Honorary Mayor of Ramona 2009-2019.

Personality: Laid back, friendly, driven. I see all ages and backgrounds talking and working together for a common cause.

Looking forward to: I am excited to promote my vintage historical fashion collection of over 50 years for fun and profit. I am also excited to watch my grandchildren excel and enjoy school and competitive dance. I am looking forward to traveling back to San Diego to see family and friends and spending time at our cabin in Prescott.

Community favorites: Member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, local HOA, and Soroptimist International.

Business: Started business here two years ago and remain a member of the American Society of Interior Designers.

Family: Son, United Airlines pilot lives in San Diego; daughter, veterinary science, lives in Waddell; six grandchildren, four in college at present.

Philosophy: I think volunteer work is important. The self-satisfaction and friends you make are like no other and often for a lifetime.

Interests: Interior design, a gathering of family and friends, cooking Cajun and Japanese style, historical architectural restoration, (specifically Ramona Town Hall), Victorian-era fashion collecting, and writing poetry. I am a former member of the Costume Society of America.

Inspiration: People who inspire me are different and are only defined by themselves. I like the ideas of people who enjoy a well-detailed/planned project. Stay humble and creative.

Favorite place to vacation: New Orleans.

Today's youth advice: Do not think of yourself as entitled, make your own way, own your mistakes, that's how you learn and grow.
