Benevilla provides meals for holidays

Christmas reservational still available

Posted

Benevilla, the West Valley’s premier family services nonprofit, will provide complementary, freshly prepared holiday meals to go again this year for both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays at Birt’s Bistro for those in the community who lack access or not have the means to make their own nutritious holiday dinner or might otherwise be alone.

Benevilla understands this time of year can be very stressful for those living alone or struggling to care for a loved one.

“We hope we make the Holiday Season a little brighter by offering these complimentary meals to those who may not necessarily have family nearby to enjoy the holiday with and to those who need it most” said Joanne Thomson, Benevilla President and CEO.

For years, Benevilla has provided these free holiday meals to the area neighbors and residents believing no one should be alone on the holidays.

A traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings and pumpkin pie will be prepackaged by Benevilla volunteers and employees and ready for pickup at Birt’s Bistro in the Hellen and John M. Jacobs Independence Plaza on the main Benevilla campus at 16752 N Greasewood St., Surprise.

Benevilla will have the meals ready for pickup Nov. 24 for Thanksgiving and Thursday, Dec. 23 for Christmas Day. RSVPs are due Dec. 7 for Christmas Day meals.

Space is limited, so RSVP by calling 623-584-4999. When reserving a meal, please choose either Thanksgiving or Christmas to help assure availability for other community members in need.

Thanksgiving is almost full but there are still more spots for the Christmas holiday meals. All meals are made possible by the generosity of an anonymous donor.
