Backer: Reader believes vaccine puts people at risk

Mr. Cohen suggests (“Decisions about COVID vaccine impacts others,” Sun City West Independent, June 23, 2021) that the science regarding COVID-19 has been established and because of this everyone needs to do the honorable thing and get the “shot” to protect others.
In my opinion, taking this particular shot (not necessarily a vaccine) puts yourself at risk. This “science” statement has two sides, one as Mr. Cohen describes and the other (less reported) shows disabilities and deaths from an untested product.
I don’t believe our citizens should be “guilted” into getting this shot.
Do your homework because as I understand the situation, this bell cannot be unrung.
When corporations offer money and rewards to ingest this product you have to ask yourself why. Step back and don’t let someone guilt you into making this serious of a decision.
