The AZ Swing Kings big band will perform two very different West Valley shows in April.
The band will play a fundraising dance 7 p.m. Saturday, April 12, to benefit the Surprise Youth Foundation at Happy Trails Resort, 17200 W. Bell Road. Vocalist Vito Maynes will be featured. Tickets may be purchased at app.arts-people.com. A portion of the ticket price may be tax deductible as a charitable contribution.
Then, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, the Swing Kings will perform a concert, “The Great American Songbook … and All That Jazz,” at Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, 13459 W. Stardust Blvd. Vocalist Barry Dale will be featured. A freewill offering will be collected in lieu of an admission charge.
The AZ Swing Kings play throughout the year in the west valley and most performances are open to the public.
