The Arthritis Club meets 7:55-8:40 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at the Beardsley pool. Many members arrive earlier and walk laps before class. Others walk laps after class or enjoy the spa.
The class is led by a volunteer instructor who guides members through a series of pool exercises to enhance joint movement while maintaining and building strength. The class is low-impact and for anyone who has arthritis, has had a joint replacement or has been inactive for a while.
In addition to weekly classes, there are also social events scheduled throughout the year. Club dues are just $10 per year.
Visit arthritis.scwclubs.com and check out the “Albums” page for a peek at previous social events.
Call Mary Jo Monten, Club President, at 623-975-6671 for additional information.
