Arizona Fire & Medical Authority Charities is hosting the fourth annual Heatwave Hangout, a health and relief event, 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Tim Finnegan’s Irish Pub, 17045 N. 59th Ave.
A raffle begins at 7 p.m. A collection of socks, underwear and jackets for the holiday toy drive will also be accepted. Every item donated gets a free raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets can also be purchased.
Donations from residents support the community and outreach programs including replacing smoke detectors, placing lock boxes, CPR materials, Sun City West WW II veteran escort to Washington D.C. war memorials and other programs.
