Women’s Chorus open to Sun City residents

The Sun City Women’s Chorus is preparing for its holiday concert, “A Joyful Christmas,” which will take place 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 at Sundial Recreation Center auditorium, 14801 N. 103rd Ave.

This group of women is under the direction of accomplished musician Jane Higgs, who is also a member of the Sun City Concert Band and the Sun City Chamber Orchestra as a featured soloist and plays the saxophone.

The accompanist for the Chorus is Kent Trostel, who has performed locally and abroad. He is a composer and arranger, and performs concerts. He has served as accompanist for the Grand Canyon Men’s Chorale and Arizona Masterworks Chorale.

Tickets for “A Joyful Christmas” are $5 at the door, or from any Chorus member .

The Chorus is open to all RCSC cardholder women of all musical backgrounds who enjoy singing in a local choir setting.
