Who’s Who of the Camera Guild of Sun City - Dan Evander

Born and raised in San Francisco, Dan Evander was an Air Force medic in the first half of the 1960s, where he learned the art of photography while stationed in Japan, Laos and locations throughout the American South. He then attended San Francisco State, majoring in business and went on to a lifelong career of systems and business application programming, project management, technical education and executive management with American Express and Bank of America.
After retirement, Mr. Evander he and his wife, Rose, developed a business utilizing digital technology to produce large scale reproductions of artist’s paintings for corporate and education ventures. He is now learning and utilizing drone photography to augment his landscape perspectives.
Over more than a half century of world travel, Mr. Evander developed his own vision of landscape imaging and in the last decade has built a YouTube channel exhibiting the many genres of Americana. Mr. Evander is involved maintaining the Camera Guild’s technical environment and teaching the intricacies of photography, photo editing and methods of sharing photography.
