Who’s most responsible for current political violence?

Posted

I read with great amusement two letters to the editor placing the blame on President Trump for the poisonous political climate in our country.

The authors of these letters conveniently ignore that much of the poison started with the Democratic Party and its progressive wing. Just watch the news and pay attention to how Democratic Congressmen (persons), the governors of California and Illinois and several mayors say about our president.

Perhaps the authors of “Trump is responsible” can answer these questions.

Who’s responsible for the violence against ICE? (The majority of Americans don’t want immigrants who are here illegally.) Which party remained silent when Tesla dealerships and cars were firebombed and shot at? Wanted to defund the police? Which party has made numerous comments that have resulted in violence against the other party’s leaders? Which party’s comments have led to assassination attempts against Mr. Trump and the assassination of Charlie Kirk?

Trump, Vance, et al are not blameless. But they are not the main reason for the current political violence situation, in my opinion.
