West Valley Chorale announces spring concerts

The West Valley Chorale, directed by Ken Goodenberger, Artistic Director, with Christine Kyhn, principal accompanist, professional orchestra and soloists will close its 39th performance season with concerts March 28 and 30. The concerts are entitled “All Mozart-The Requiem & More.” The major work performed will be The Mozart Requiem.

Performances are 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at American Lutheran Church, 17200 N. Del Webb Blvd., and 7 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd. Tickets are $15 in advance through chorale members or by RSVP at WestValleyChoraleAZ.org and $20 at the door. Student tickets for those 18 and younger are $5 at the door.

A featured guest soloist is Leilani Miranda, the second place winner of the Youth Singer Competition held last fall. Miranda is a junior attending Shadow Ridge High School in Surprise. This competition is held in the fall open to all junior and senior high school students by audition and features performances at West Valley Chorale concerts. Scholarships are awarded funded by concert patrons’ donations.

The West Valley Chorale is a Surprise 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts organization comprised for singers from throughout West Valley communities and is supported by concert sponsor Sanderson Lincoln, advertisers, ticket sales and tax-deductible donations from patrons.
