Viewpoint Lake in Sun City is expected to be fill next month

Independent Newsmedia
Viewpoint Lake is expected to be filled by the end of October, according to the Recreation Centers of Sun City Inc.
The RCSC drained the lake for the purpose of placing “a new thick liner at the bottom of the lake, which was carefully tested and sealed, along with thicker concrete borders that include a ledge at the shallow edges of the lake,” said Beth Lucas, communications and marketing manager for RCSC. “The lake is continuing to fill, and members can watch as the water rises from measurement markings along the pier just past the Lakeview Center mini golf at Hillside Park.
“Viewpoint Lake is a special amenity with a large area of lake access for all RCSC members/cardholders,” Lucas said.
“We invite members and cardholders to watch (the lake) rise by viewing foot-by-foot measurements marked on pilings of the pier along Hillside Park,” she added.
