This is regarding voting in Sun City for your new board of directors and attending the annual membership meeting.
Please don’t let your vote as a member in good standing at Recreation Centers of Sun City go to waste! What – you didn’t know that you had a vote to cast if your assessment fee was all paid up? What – you didn’t know that you could vote online? What – you didn’t know that there are other members out there who will be happy to assist you if you need a ride to the Lakeview Center social hall, 10626 W. Thunderbird, Blvd., to cast your vote on Tuesday, Dec. 14?
Well, now you do!
Property owners in Sun City who are at least 55 years of age and hold an RCSC member card are eligible to vote in elections.
How to vote online: You must have an account through the RCSC web portal. If you have no idea what I am talking about, call me right now, and I’ll talk you through it over the phone or come to your house so you can see how it’s done. Call 505-350-7636.
Do you need a ride to the polls on Tuesday, Dec. 14? Call me at 505-350-7636!
As members of this fantastic community built with love and a vision by the Del Webb Development Corp., we must take an interest in what goes on around us or as we’ve seen in other facets of life, if you don’t nurture it, it might die.
Also, you need to know that our 2021 annual membership meeting will be conducted 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13 in the auditorium at the Sundial Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave. Every year the governing body is obligated by the Articles of Incorporation to conduct an annual meeting where business will be conducted if there is a quorum. That’s the kicker here! We haven’t had a quorum since 2009; in other words, the general membership has absolutely no say in how business is conducted around here. Don’t like something? Too bad! There’s nothing that you can do about it.
A quorum would be 1,250 members! Please consider being one of them. If you need a ride, let me know, call 505-350-7636,
Wouldn’t it be a hoot to finally, after so many years, attain our membership numbers to have a quorum and perhaps get our voices heard! What a way to celebrate the fact that we are reopen after the fiasco of 2020!!
