This is in response to the comments regarding Sun City fees:
Sun City is an unincorporated community. There’s no option to levy property tax or sales tax because we are not a city.
The annual property assessment of $650 pays for all day-to-day operations conducted by the Recreation Centers of Sun City. This is not a recreation fee, it is a property assessment for each housing unit in Sun City.
The initial fees when purchasing ($4,000 plus $1,500) are important because they fund long-term projects ($4,000) as well as major project purchases ($1,500). This is a one-time cost unless you purchase multiple homes.
These are the facts. There should be no reason to explain this multiple times. Maintaining all the RSCS amenities in our community benefits all homeowners and ensures homes increase in value moving forward.
