Sun Health Foundation tees off golf event to benefit cancer treatments

Residents can enjoy a day of golfing fun while supporting new advancements in treatment for cancer patients.

Sun Health Foundation will conduct the “Driving FORE Superior Health Care 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 17 at Topgolf, 6101 N. 99th Ave., Glendale. Single and group tickets are available for purchase for the charity golf day.

This state-of-the art venue offers point-scoring golf games for all skills levels, including non-golfers.

The charity day will be complete with music, food and other activities. Game play is tournament style.

The golf day benefits cancer fighting treatment and care advancement, an initiative in the Sun Health Foundation Generosity for Generations Campaign. Medical professionals, patients and survivors will be honored in the fight against cancer.

 Participants can form their own team or event organizers will connect them to one for some fun, friendly competition. Other contests will be offered for added excitement. Prizes will be awarded. For those feeling like they could use a few pointers, a golf pro will be on hand to offer tips. The entire VIP floor will be transformed into a private party, complete with great food and drinks.

Special consideration is being given to the need to be safe. Safety measures are being implemented at Topgolf, including wearing masks and social distancing.
