Sundial Men’s Club donates to Sun City Meals on Wheels

Posted

The Sundial Men’s Club recently presented a check for $5,000 to several charity officers from Sun City Meals on Wheels.

Sun City Meals on Wheels services clients in Sun City and Youngstown exclusively. For $10.50 per day, participants will have a lunch and a dinner delivered to their homes. Everyone is eligible and low income clients can apply for a subsidy. Meals on Wheels states they delivered 18,000 to 20,000 meals to clients last year.

Meals on Wheels has approximately 190 volunteers and the Sun City branch has been in operation for more than 50 years. Many of the volunteers have between five and 35 years of service to their credit.

This charitable organization relies solely on donations and volunteers to keep them running. To receive delivered meals, or to donate or volunteer, call 623-974-9430. Those interested can also visit SunCitymealsonwheels.org or stop by their office, 10404 W. Coggins, suite 106, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. weekdays.

The Sundial Men’s Club recognizes the volunteers and patrons who support the Thursday night Bingo games at Sundial. They make donations, like this one, possible.
