The Sun City Ukulele Club will feature several of its individual artists, plus a variety of selections by the full group, Monday, Jan. 27, at the Sundial stage.
This is a benefit concert and all proceeds will support SCHOA.
Bob Isaacson is just one of the musicians who will perform at 3 p.m. He grew up in Seatle where he sang and played guitar in a high school trio he formed. His mother was a singer in a big band and his grandmother was an opera singer.
In 2003, when Isaacson arrived in Sun City with his wife, Diane, he auditioned for several vocal roles at the Arizona Broadway Theater. He performed with ABT in more than 12 musicals during a 10-year period. In 2013, Bob and Diane joined the Sun City Ukulele Club. Isaacson immediately taught himself to play the uke and today leads many of the club’s weekly jams.
Tickets are $15 and open to the public.
Sun City residents who join or renew their $25 annual membership in SCHOA will receive two free tickets. Call SCHOA at 623-974-4718 or stop by their office at 10401 W. Coggins Drive to become a member and receive your concert tickets.
The Sun City Ukulele Club is open to RCSC members and meets 3 p.m. Thursdays in the Fairway Music Room.
