More than 20 members of the Sun City Ukulele Club, under the leadership of Bob McLin, performed March 1 at the 35th annual Glendale Folk and Heritage Festival. This is the club’s eighth year performing at this venue and they did eight songs from a varied program that included songs by Bob Dylan, the Beatles, the Kingston Trio and others, ending with “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” by Brooks & Dunn. The Sun City Ukulele Club meets 3 p.m. Thursdays at the Fairway Center. The club offer free lessons open to all RCSC cardholders.
