Sun City Ukulele Club looks back, makes plans

Posted

This year, the Sun City Ukulele Club increased membership — now with more than 150 participating in weekly jams — hosted instructional lessons for all levels, played multiple concerts (including a fundraiser for SCHOA), presented workshops by professional ukulele artists and performed concerts for RCSC cardholders and their invited guests.

But while this season may be over, the club has already scheduled three performances for next year and is working on a fourth.

Professional ukulele performer Danielle Anderson will be in Sun City Sept. 22 to provide beginner and advanced workshops for club members and there will be a concert that evening for RCSC cardholders and guests.

Meanwhile, the club continues to meet 3 p.m. Thursday all summer, in the Fairway Center, welcoming musicians with all skill levels.

Visit scukes.org or contact club president Trudy Bryson at 480-278-3780 or Trudybryson@cox.net for more information.
