Sun City Ukulele Club hosts new member orientation

Posted

The Sun City Ukulele Club is hosting orientation sessions 1:30-2:30 p.m. Oct. 3 and 17 in the Fairway Center Music Room. Newcomers will learn to play and sing a few simple songs to help them discover the instrument. No experience is necessary, and no ukulele is required for these sessions; those with a ukulele can bring their own.

The club meets 3 p.m. Thursdays in the Fairway Music Room (unless preempted by holidays or special events) and is open to RCSC members. No previous skills are needed.

The club has about 140 members, most of whom started due to the mentorship program, which focuses on ukulele skills and is free to members.
