The Nixon Group, Your Orange Realtors, held a “Clear Out Your Space” event in their parking lot in Sun City October 19. The group shredded paper, took old electronics, glasses, cell phones and American flags in return for monetary or food donations for Valley View Community Food Bank. Residents of Sun City and surrounding areas donated more than 500 lbs. of food and contributed $550 in cash. Tim and Amy Nixon, owners of The Nixon Group, matched the monetary donation and gave Valley Food Bank $1,100. The food bank is seeking food donations for the holiday season.
