The Sun City Players Community Theater hosted a farewell party for fellow actor Bobby Havens May 12 at the Mountain View Recreation Center. Havens will be moving in June to Longview, WA, to live near his family. He has been a member of Players since 2016, having performed in several SCPCT productions as well as in many other theaters throughout the Phoenix area. Over the past nine years, not only has he been nominated for four AriZoni awards for his excellence in acting, but he also won an AriZoni in 2022 for his best actor portrayal in “Tuesdays with Morrie.” The event was emceed by Garrad Perry who, along with friends and actors, was able to roast Havens and sing a few tunes. There were more than 75 attendees.
