Shirley Gerhart, with the Sun City Host Lions Club, recently presented a check to Andy Lewis, with Sun City’s Sunshine Services. The Lions Club earns money during the year by delivering Sun City phone books, collecting pop and beer cans for recycling and accepting donated items in good condition, like furniture and household items and then selling them. This income allows the club to financially assist Sun City organizations like the Posse, PRIDES, CAN, Olive Branch Senior Center, Valley View Food Bank and Recorded Recreation Reading for the Blind.
