Sun City LGBT club hosts successful shoe collection

Dozens of shoes were recently collected by members of the LGBT Club of Sun City, which worked in conjunction with the LGBT group in Sun City Grand as they held a separate shoe collection in their respective group.
The shoes collected will be sent to a third world individual who will repair and fix the shoes and give them a second life. He has a privately owned store for resale, thus helping to create a new entrepreneur and stimulate their local economy.
The LGBT Club of Sun City is a year-round social club with 150 members. The club hosts socials, dances, dinners, boat trips, bowling nights and mini golf tournaments. The club is also involved in ongoing community projects like the recent shoe collection to offer help for those people or local organizations in need.
The club also welcomes all Sun City residents to join the club as allies. The allies help the LGBT club promote more inclusion and diversity on the goals and issues that face the LGBT community every day.
