Sun City LGBT club gets season underway with donation

The LGBT Club of Sun City began its fall season with members and allies donating to the Title 1 Heritage Elementary School STEAM Program wish list.

The STEAM Program Wish List was developed by Traci Gillespie, a junior high educator at Heritage, who this year for the first time is introducing lessons relating to NASA to all the students (grades K-8) at Heritage Elementary.

Ms. Gillespie says the club’s assistance couldn’t have come at a better time as she and other teachers at Heritage would otherwise have needed to use their own money to pay for most of the items needed for this program.
