Sun City Healing Project offers ‘ArtShare’ grief support group

Posted

Doing Grief Community Healing Project, based in Sun City, will offer a grief support group called “ArtShare” noon Thursday, April 17, at Banner Olive Branch Senior Center, 13049 N. 103rd Ave.

“ArtShare” is a small group gathering facilitated by Shea Darian, spiritual care provider and director of the Healing Project.

“Everyone brings a work of art, maybe a song, poem, crafted item, or visual art piece that provides healing for them in their grieving process,” Darian explained. Artistic offerings can be original works of art or from another artist or creator.

“Art has the power to heal us and when we share it with others, the healing is multiplied,” Darian added.

Spots for “ArtShare” are limited and registration is required. To RSVP, email Connect@DoingGrief.org or call Banner Olive Branch Senior Center at 623-465-6000.

A suggested donation of $5-10 can be given at DoingGrief.org or at the door. All are welcome regardless of an ability to pay.

Visit DoingGrief.org for more information.
