The Knights of Columbus St. Elizabeth Seton Council 12144 hosted its annual Knights of Columbus Frank Comaianni Charity Golf Outing in March at the Willowcreek Golf Club in Sun City.

The tournament brought together 128 golfers and more than 40 local businesses and individuals added further support as hole sponsors. The tournament raised $7,500 to support youth from St. Elizabeth Seton Parish and other areas of Arizona to attend the St. Joseph Camp at Mormon Lake.

The team of Dave Medzegrian, Jim Smolinski, Don Bezzole and Tom Tesar took first place for Flight A. The team of Wayne Haugen, Kory Cammeier, Rod Bring and Hal Clark won second place while Rick Seitmen, Howard Holben, Terry Himes and Zan Pauley took third place.

For Flight B, Dave Bruns, Mark Altringer, Larry Spencer and Steve Haugen placed first. Second place went to Pit Fitzpatrick, Tom Engrissei, Harby Truman and Jack O’Brien. In third place was the team of Kevin Ludden, Bill Nygaard, Mike Ryan and Andre Casabonne.

Flight C was won by the team of Gene Kirkpatrick, Tom Low, Bill Scheitlin and Gene Smith, followed by the team of Steve Godfrey, Jeff Pulfett, Trever Godfrey and Jeff Sarauer. Third place was won by Tom Sweeney, Denis O’Connell, Dan Gaughan and Marty Gaughan.

The St. Elizabeth Seton Knights of Columbus Council sponsored the four-person scramble. Proceeds from the tournament are used to award scholarships for youth to attend the St Joseph Youth Camp. This year’s tournament will provide scholarships for eight children to attend the camp.
