The Sun City Firefighters Charities is holding a Shred-A-Thon to “support one of their own who is struggling with cancer and is strapped with medical bills,” as stated in a press release.
“Local businesses are sponsoring the event to support the Sun City Fire Department charity,” the release states.
The event will take place 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, in Steiner’s Amish Furniture Store parking, 10722 Northwest Grand Ave. in Sun City, the release states.
“Bring your old boxes of documents you no longer need to be shredded. We will have refreshments and one of the fire trucks on site. Donations to the Sun City Fire Department Charities will be accepted.
