Sisters Patsy Sheeder Silvey and Honorary Chapter Regent Shirley Sheeder Staggs, from the Sun City National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Agua Fria Chapter, delivered donations collected from chapter Daughters to the Prescott Veteran Center for Development and Civic Engagement Sept. 11, Patriot’s Day.
Many donations were purchased from funds specifically given for the center. Donations from the West Valley NSSAR Saguaro Chapter were also included.
The VA Center supports a hospital, a nursing home and a rehabilitation center. One of the Children’s, Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution missions is to promote patriotism by supporting, honoring, recognizing and thanking all United States veterans for their service.
If any organization or person is interested in donating new clothing and/or other items, contact Shana Shatzer at 928-776-6013 or Kiersten Gonzalez at 928-776-6013.
