Lakeview United Methodist Church, 10298 W. Thunderbird Blvd., is continuing its “Birthday Boxes” project for the children of Valley View Food Bank families. For the past year, the Missions Committee has received the birthday dates for the children and have had a box ready for the family, to help celebrate the special day with a party. Both items and monetary donations are needed to continue this project.
committee has enough cake mixes, frosting and cupcake holders for the parties. However, they are in need of packages of balloons, birthday plates and napkins, plastic forks and spoons and small stuffed animals. Monetary donations are also needed to purchase the birthday boxes to hold the items for the family.
Donation collection boxes are located in the church office and Smoot Hall.
