The Congregational Church of Sun City, 18401 N. 99th Ave., is hosting a coffee hour 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11. In addition to complimentary refreshments, participants will hear from Darla Calhoun, author and founder of Agape Children’s Ministry. In 1993, Calhoun was motivated to act on behalf of hundreds of children who were living and sleeping in the streets of Kisumu, Kenya. Unwanted, uncared for and fearful, they found shelter and love with Calhoun and her Kenyan staff. She will share stories of touching humor and pathos. In the past 12 years, Agape has established three difference centers and reintegrated more than 6,000 children with family members in their rural villages.
