Sun City Calligraphy Society elects board of directors

The Sun City Calligraphy Society recently elected its 2025 board of directors: Lynn Henson, treasurer, Linda Wilson, assistant treasurer, Denise Gray, vice-president, Carolyn Gurney, president, and Candy Ruggiero, secretary. Gurney, along with clubs instructors, has been working on scheduling classes for the fall. A few of the classes scheduled are: Introduction to Calligraphy, Modern Brush, Italic, Flourishing Greeting Card Making, All that Glitters is not Gold and Zentangle. Opportunities to visit the Calligraphy Society room to see samples of these forms of Calligraphy are 1-4 p.m. Mondays and 9-11 a.m. Thursdays and Fridays. Club hours will change starting in May, and the club will be open each month, 9-11 a.m. Thursdays starting then. Located in the Sundial Recreation Center, the club will be closed in August.
