Sun City artist honored at local show

Several paintings were displayed Jan. 10 at a Ground Floor Artists reception in Surprise.

This art show, titled “Arizona Perspective,” celebrates the many interpretations of Arizona, its beauty demonstrated with different mediums. In addition to unique landscapes, there are cultural heritage and contemporary art scenes.

The show is open through Feb. 1 and can be visited at 13343 W. Fox Fire Drive.

Sun City’s Palo Verde Artists member Josh Thompson received an Honorable Mention for his acrylic painting.

The Palo Verde Artists club is found at Sundial Recreation Center in Sun City, where they offer classes at all levels of expertise and for all mediums.
