The Artists by the Lake September challenge is to create a wall of flowers, and members have installed their newest display in the cases in front of the art room. Each piece is a unique representation by the artists in a variety of mediums.
Artwork is for sale and there is the opportunity to view the display 9 a.m.-noon Monday-Thursday and 1-3 p.m. Fridays.
September classes are now forming as well, in drawing, oil and acrylic painting from beginner to advanced level, pastel and mixed media. An alcohol ink workshop is planned for October.
To sign up for classes one must be a current member of Artists by the Lake club. To join, visit the club on the second floor of the Lakeview Recreation Center, 10626 W. Thunderbird Blvd. Bring a current RCSC card and a check for $10.
