Sun Cities COVID-19 cases increase in past week

The Arizona Department of Health Services reported the overall number of Sun City COVID-19 cases at 951 on July 31. That's an increase of 13.5% over the last week (822). Breaking it down by ZIP code, there were 387 in Sun City’s 85351 code and 246 in Sun City’s 85373 code, which includes areas of Peoria and Surprise. Sun City West’s 85375 ZIP code had 318 cases.

Here are the number of COVID-19 cases for ZIP codes that include the Sun Cities and some surrounding areas, according to the ADHS. The ADHS said more than 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence:
